Tamika Edwards Named to Federal Reserve Advisory Council (Movers & Shakers)

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Tamika Edwards has been appointed to a three-year term on the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’ Community Development Advisory Council.

Edwards currently serves as the director of public policy for Southern Bancorp Community Partners, a nonprofit institution that works to transform rural communities in the South.

Jason Lenderman has been named president and CEO of First National Bank of Hot Springs. Lenderman was previously EVP and CFO at the bank. He will also serve on the board of directors.

Stan Allison has joined Liberty Bank of Arkansas as a trust officer at a new branch in Fayetteville, slated to open in May. Allison has worked in financial services for more than 30 years.

Clinton Ryan has joined First National Bank of Rogers as vice president and commercial loan officer. Ryan previously served in the same role at United Bank of Springdale.

Bill Edwards has joined IberiaBank Mortgage in Little Rock as EVP and mortgage production manager. Edwards previously served as president of the mortgage division of BancorpSouth of Tupelo, Miss.

HEALTH CARE

Julie Moretz has been named associate vice chancellor for patient and family-centered care at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Moretz, a native of Augusta, Ga., previously served as director of family services development at the Medical College of Georgia. She was also employed as director of special projects at the Institute for Patient & Family-Centered Care in Bethesda, Md.

Wayne Cox and Tom Poe have joined the Conway Regional Health System board of directors.

Cox is a senior advertising executive with KATV, Channel 7, in Little Rock. Poe is manager of Lenders Title Group in Conway.

Both will serve six-year terms.

INSURANCE

Marc Verbos and Luke Ramsay have received promotions within the Asa Group, a national brokerage firm specializing in life insurance and long-term care. Verbos, who was promoted to CEO and partner on Jan. 1, previously served as the company’s COO for three years. Ramsay, who was employed as CMO for the last seven years, has been promoted to president and partner.

LEGAL

Stan Miller was recently admitted as a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, a worldwide organization for people specializing in succession planning. Miller is managing partner of McChain Miller & Nissman in Little Rock.

EDUCATION

Andrew McKenzie has been named co-editor of the Journal of Agricultural & Applied Economics, the official publication of the Southern Agricultural Economics association. McKenzie, who is widely recognized as one of the nation’s experts in grain marketing, is a professor of agricultural economics at the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food & Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He will serve as co-editor for a three-year term beginning in July.

ENGINEERING

Jan Jones of North Little Rock has been named the Little Rock School District 2013 Engineer of the Year by the Army Corps of Engineers. Jones is a hydraulic engineer and serves as a water management tech specialist for the White River System.
