Realtors: Arkansas Home Sales Down 1.6 Percent in Feburary

The Arkansas Realtors Association said Monday that February home sales were down 1.6 percent, and the average price of homes sold increased by 7.6 percent when compared to the same time last year.

According to the report, which tracks home sales in 43 Arkansas counties, the average price of homes sold in February was $152,254, up from $141,498 during the same month last year.

During the month, Pulaski County led the top five counties for home sales, reporting 276 homes sold, up 9.5 percent from the same time last year.

Other counties and the number of homes sold were:

  • Benton, with 234 homes sold, down 7.1 percent from 252 last February.
  • Washington, with 168 sold, up 46.1 percent.
  • Sebastian, with 89 sold, up 27.1 percent.
  • Saline, with 81 sold, down 23.6 percent.
