Melissa Tucker is no longer the editor of Sync.

Tucker, who started as assistant editor when the weekly magazine launched in May 2007, was released from the paper on April 3. She had been editor since 2008.

“I cannot discuss personnel issues,” Breanna Wells, niche publications manager for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, which publishes Sync, said in an email to Outtakes.

Tucker also declined to comment.

Wells said a replacement hadn’t been found, but Shea Stewart, the assistant editor of Sync, had been named interim editor.

When Sync started, it had a print run of 30,000 copies. These days, Sync distributes about that number in Pulaski, Lonoke, Saline and Faulkner counties.
