Andy's Frozen Custard Makes New Stand at Fayetteville

Andy’s Frozen Custard is returning to Fayetteville.

Demolition of an existing building at 1513 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. should be — weather permitting — complete within the next two weeks.

We’re told construction should take between 100 and 125 days, meaning it should be operational when temperatures reach triple digits in August.

Andy’s currently operates a location in Rogers that it bought back from a franchisee. Fayetteville had an Andy’s on College Avenue, but the franchisee closed that store and created an opportunity for the corporate-owned location near campus.

The new Fayetteville operation will be about 1,600 SF and feature a sit-down dining area, in addition to a drive-through and walk-up order windows.

Andy’s has 17 locations nationwide, including 11 corporate stores. Fayetteville joins St. Louis, Chicago and Tulsa as the newest openings for the 26-year-old company.

“We chose to close [the College Ave-nue store] knowing within a year we’d try and find another location that better suited us in Fayetteville,” Marketing Manager Todd Arth said.

“We felt like MLK down by the high school and the university is a growing area, and we felt like that was a great location for the Fayetteville area.

“We feel like this gives us the opportunity to put our best foot forward.”
