Bill Simon, president and CEO of Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s U.S. stores division, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Harding University in Searcy.
Simon is scheduled to speak as part of the university’s 2012-13 American Studies Institute Distinguished Lecture Series.
Simon is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of Wal-Mart U.S., leading 1.3 million employees and about 3,900 stores.
Simon will be lecturing at Harding’s Benson Auditorium. Tickets are free and seating is open to the public.
Wal-Mart will hold its annual shareholders’ meeting June 7 at the Bud Walton Arena at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
