Did you know that two of the top executives at the Arkansas Heart Hospital are leaving?

EVP Charlie Smith and CFO Mark Hartman have announced they are leaving, but a departure date hasn’t been set, said CEO Dr. Bruce Murphy.

Smith had previously been the CEO of the hospital for six years, and Hartman was the interim CEO of the hospital for about a year. Hartman was named Arkansas Business’ 2012 Large Company CFO of the Year.

“Both of them are transitioning to other things,” Murphy said. “I don’t know exactly where they’re going.

“Both men have been strategic in the success of the hospital and have been really powerful leaders for us,” Murphy said.

As the leaders prepare to leave, Adam Head is moving into the position of COO to replace Smith and Jennifer Styron-Ripa is moving into the position of CFO, Murphy said.
