Austin Pittman Adjusts Focus at Bedford Camera & Video (Movers & Shakers)

Austin Pittman has been promoted to vice president of operations at Bedford Camera & Video Inc. in Little Rock. Pittman has worked for the company for more than 15 years and is a board member of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.


Erin Baker has been promoted to assistant vice president and branch manager by IberiaBank in Jonesboro. Baker, who previously was assistant vice president and loan officer at First National Bank at Harrisburg (Poinsett County), is a graduate of the Paul W. Barrett School of Banking in Memphis and was named President of the Year for Rotary District 6150 in 2012.

John Howell and Jason Trenary have joined Delta Trust & Bank as northwest Arkansas regional manager and senior vice president. Howell, a graduate of Lyon College at Batesville and the Paul W. Barrett School of Banking at Memphis, has more than 12 years of banking experience in commercial lending and management. Trenary, who has more than 17 years of commercial lending and banking experience, is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He will work in the Bella Vista branch.

Kevin Burns has been appointed to the board of directors of Arkansas Capital Corp. in Little Rock. Burns serves as senior vice president and associate general counsel of Stephens Inc. and once worked in private practice with the Rose Law Firm. He is also listed in Best Lawyers in America under mergers and acquisitions law and in Chambers USA Leading Lawyers in the corporate and commercial category.


David Miller has accepted a seat on the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society’s Health Information Exchange Committee. Miller is chair of the HIE Council for the Arkansas Office of Health Information Technology and also works at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as vice chancellor for information technology. His two-year term will begin July 1.

Mark Baer has joined Oleen Pinnacle Healthcare Consulting in Little Rock as chief financial officer. Baer has more than 24 years of experience in tax and accounting, including 16 years in the information services and telecommunications industries. A graduate of the University of Arkansas, he also led payroll administration and corporate tax for Allied Wireless Communications Corp., specializing in multistate taxation.


William R. Bowes has been named chief financial officer of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Bowes has more than 30 years of experience in higher education finance and has served in senior management positions at system and institutional levels. He also spent 16 years in various financial leadership roles in the University System of Georgia, including senior vice president for operations and senior vice president for finance and administration.

Janine Parry has been named to lead the faculty senate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Parry, a professor of political science at the J. William Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences, has been with the university since 1998 and is director of the Arkansas Poll, which studies political issues facing Arkansans. She has also received the Faculty Gold Medal award from the office of post-graduate scholarships.
