(This article has been corrected.)

What does the upcoming season of federal court look like? Here are some upcoming trials:

  • Andrew Melton, the former chief financial officer of ThermoEnergy Corp. accused of using his employer’s money to pay a personal judgment, is set for trial on Sept. 3.
  • Former northwest Arkansas developer Brandon Barber and two of his co-defendants, K. Vaughn Knight and James Van Doren, are set for trial on Sept. 16.
  • Barber and his co-defendants in a separate federal indictment, Jeff Whorton and Brandon Rains, are scheduled for trial on Oct. 21. (A new co-defendant, Rogers attorney David Fisher, was added to that case recently.)
  • The trial of David Patrick Henry Sr., the former Little Rock attorney accused of tax evasion and draining the trust fund belonging to the heirs of Little Rock architect Joe Swaffar, has been moved from July to February 2014.

(June 24, 2013: David Patric Henry Sr.’s trial date was incorrect in the original item.)
