St. Vincent Opens Clinic at Hot Springs Village

St. Vincent Medical Clinic-Hot Springs Village marked its grand opening Tuesday, and the clinic will being seeing patients on Aug. 1.

Dr. Marcus Chu, a native of Helena, will lead the clinic. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians, where he was resident representative. 

He is past co-president of the Family Medicine Interest Group. Chu also received the Yvonne L. Lewis Area Health Education Centers Participation Award in 2010. 

"I am excited about joining St. Vincent in reaching out to the people of Hot Springs Village with excellent health care," Chu said in a news release. "Berna Smedley, the advance practice nurse here, has been seeing patients since March 19. I look forward to joining her in helping the families of Hot Springs Village maintain excellent health." 

The primary and specialty care clinic is on the east side of Hot Springs Village. St. Vincent said it will also offer specialty health services including cardiology, orthopaedics and breast specialist services.
