Windstream 2Q Net Income Down 21 Percent; Company Explores Creating Parent Firm

Windstream Corp. of Little Rock says second-quarter net income was $40 million, down 21 percent from the same time last year. Also, the firm says it's exploring creating a publicly traded holding company to become the parent company of Windstream and its subsidiaries.
