Murphy Spinoff Results in Employee Changes

Murphy Oil Corp. of El Dorado on Thursday announced several employee changes as some of its officers move to Murphy USA Inc., its new spinoff retail gas station company.

John Gardner was promoted to treasurer. Gardner succeeds Mindy West, who resigned as vice president and treasurer to become executive vice president and CFO at Murphy USA.

Gardner has worked around the world for Murphy and most recently was assistant treasurer.

Ted Botner was promoted to manager of law and corporate secretary. Botner succeeds John Moore, who also resigned to take a position at Murphy USA. There, Moore will work as senior vice president of general counsel and corporate secretary.

Botner has worked at Murphy since 2001 and was most recently senior attorney.

The company also named Barry Jeffery as vice president of investor relations.

Jeffery has worked at Murphy since 1986 and has worked in many roles at the company. Most recently he was director of investor relations.

And Tim Butler was promoted to vice president of tax. Butler has worked at Murphy since 1987. He was previously general manager of worldwide taxation.

In February, the company named the executive team that will lead Murphy USA Inc. R. Andrew Clyde will be the new company's president and CEO.
