You’re probably aware that the former Brandon House Furniture property on the west side of University Avenue between Interstate 630 and 12th Street in Little Rock is undergoing a transformation via teardown.

We understand Kum & Go is interested in buying part of the property to develop one of its super convenience stores.

You might recall the Iowa chain looked to develop a site one exit to the east, at the southwest corner of Fair Park Boulevard and Interstate 630. Kum & Go officials decided to look elsewhere after development plans were greeted with neighborhood opposition.

We also understand that another expanding, out-of-state concern is looking to develop another piece of the Brandon House property: CVS Pharmacy of Woonsocket, R.I.

CVS currently has more than 7,500 stores in 42 states and the District of Columbia, but the only one in Arkansas is on Stateline Avenue in Texarkana.
