Mylo Coffee Putting Down Roots

1 min read

Those who frequent the Hillcrest Farmers Market or the Bernice Garden Farmers Market on South Main in Little Rock are already familiar with Mylo Coffee Co.’s on-site-brewed coffee and baked goods, both sweet and savory. Soon those offerings will be available at a brick-and-mortar location at the former site of River City Tea, Coffee & Cream at 2715 Kavanaugh Blvd. (Don’t worry, River City fans. That establishment is moving to 2913 Kavanaugh, next to Pulaski Heights Realty.)

Stephanos and Monica Mylonas are the husband-and-wife team behind Mylo, which, according to its Facebook page, is seeking a commercial contractor, an architect and an aspiring pastry chef: “If you possess an irrational commitment to your craft; if you really care about food, about your self development, about your colleagues and about customers; and if you are just a little bit obsessive, then you are likely to thrive at Mylo.”

Renovating the Kavanaugh space will take some effort, and Mylo puts its opening after the first of next year. In the meantime, the duo plans to maintain the Mylo table at the farmers markets.
