Subcontractors Suing Garison Construction

1 min read

A former Little Rock construction firm is being pelted with lawsuits for allegedly failing to pay its subcontractors.

The subject: Garison Construction LLC, also known as Garison Constructors of Arkansas LLC, owned by Andy Garison. According to the Better Business Bureau Inc.’s website, the Arkansas Contractors Board revoked Garison’s commercial license in July, ordering it to refrain from working on any project in excess of $20,000.

Since then, at least three different suits have been filed in Pulaski County Circuit Court by parties allegedly short-changed by Garison Construction. They are:

  • Westfield Insurance Co. of Louisville, Ky., which is owed $69,943 tied to a city hall project in Russellville;
  • Carrington Electric Co. Inc. of Pine Bluff, owed $7,185 for electrical contract work at a Little Caesar’s restaurant in Pine Bluff; and
  • Brownlee Electric Inc. of Redfield (Jefferson County), owed $9,371 for electrical contract work at Briarwood Animal Hospital in Little Rock.

Garison Construction hasn’t responded to any of the suits. Calls made to the company’s office in Little Rock were not returned.
