1 min read

J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. of Lowell on Wednesday announced the leadership changes in its Truck, or JBT, business unit.

The company said Shelley Simpson, chief marketing officer and president of Hunt’s Integrated Capacity Solutions segment, has been placed into the “strategic leadership role of JBT” while retaining her current responsibilities.

The company also said it hired Greg Breeden as the senior vice president of JBT Marketing and Network Development. Breeden returns to J.B. Hunt after leading Crete Carrier Corporation’s national sales, marketing and customer service team for 20 years. Back at J.B. Hunt, Breeden responsibilities will include establishing network pricing, lane density and geographical customer network development.

Steve Rogers, vice president of operations, has also joined JBT from Hunt’s Dedicated Contract Services unit. The company said Craig Harper will oversee operational service levels across all business units.

J.B. Hunt previously announced that it would invest $130 million in JBT in 2014 while working to reduce operating costs. The company said it expects to see results over the next 24 months.
