Ralph Hall Named Deputy Director, Chief Engineer of AHTD

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department announced Thursday that Ralph Hall of Bryant has been promoted to Deputy Director and Chief Engineer.

Hall was previously assistant to the director for the department. He has been with the AHTD since 1972.  

A native of Pocahontas, Hall has a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas. He is a registered professional engineer.

During his career with the AHTD, Hall has held many positions, including division head of materials and research; District Six engineer; and assistant chief engineer of operations. Hall was inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineers in 1998.  

Hall replaces Frank Vozel who retired from the department in December after 43 years.
