Quattlebaum Firm Brings On Daniel Beck as New Associate (Movers & Shakers)

Daniel J. Beck has joined Quattlebaum Grooms Tull & Burrow PLLC in Little Rock as an associate. Beck received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville.

Kathi Kinder has joined Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods in Little Rock as a client coordinator. Kinder previously worked as a fiscal support analyst and specialist for the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission in Little Rock. Amanda Seevers has also joined the company as an account coordinator.

Skot Covert has joined Impact Management Group in Little Rock as the director of digital media. Covert, one of Arkansas Business’ “20 in Their 20s” for 2013, is the current national co-chairman of the College Republican National Committee.

Engineering

Maneesh Krishnan of McClelland Consulting Engineers Inc. in Little Rock recently passed the Principles & Practice of Engineering exam to become an Arkansas Licensed Professional Engineer. Maneesh is a project engineer for McClelland, and his area of specialty is traffic and transportation engineering.

Architecture

Clint Whitley of Cromwell Architects Engineers Inc. in Little Rock was appointed to a three-year term on the Mayor’s Sustainability Commission. As a member of the commission, Whitley will work with various groups in Little Rock to develop green policies that help the city and its residents.

Education

Mary Lackie will assume the role of vice chancellor for university advancement at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith in February. Lackie, who holds a doctorate in education from the University of Arkansas, previously served as a senior technical director for the International Affairs Office at Columbia University’s Teachers College in New York City.

Ellen Odell has been hired as the director of the new nursing program at John Brown University in Siloam Springs. Odell has nearly three decades of clinical experience and 15 years of experience as a nurse educator.

Financial Services

Trent Brown recently joined Simmons First Bank of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro as a vice president and commercial loan officer. Brown has more than 14 years of finance experience, including four years as a senior bank examiner for the Arkansas State Bank Department. Also joining Simmons were Lisa Frazier and Mike Webb as vice presidents and commercial loan officers, Corey Ladyman as vice president and mortgage loan officer, and Rheanne Pierson as vice president and compliance/loan operations officer.

Herb Lawrence has joined the Batesville branch of First Community Bank. Lawrence most recently worked as the director of the Small Business & Technology Development Center at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
