Whitney Vandiver Wellborn, former development coordinator for Our House in Little Rock, has joined the Arkansas Foodbank as its major gifts office, the nonprofit said Wednesday.

At the foodbank, Wellborn will be responsible for strengthening and building relationships with donors. She'll also work with Feeding Hope, a three-year initiative of the Arkansas Foodbank to fight hunger.

At Our House, Wellborn worked on the nonprofits key fundraising events, Tie One On and Dinner on the Grounds. Whitney was also lead speaker for the United Way Campaign, helped raise money to build a new children's center, and developed and managed media and marketing strategies.

She is a graduate from the University of Arkansas.

The Arkansas Foodbank is the largest food bank in Arkansas and a member of Feeding America and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. It has warehouses in Little Rock, Warren, and Caddo Valley serving about 300 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other agencies.
