A $2 million gift to the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville will benefit the school's Raymond Munger Memorial Chapel.

The university announced the donation from Frances E. Wilson of Tulsa, Okla., on Tuesday. Wilson made the gift in memory of her late husband, Thomas D. Wilson, and the school will rename the building the Munger-Wilson Memorial Chapel.

The money will fund renovations to the chapel, built in 1932, and create the Thomas D. and Frances E. Wilson Chapel Endowment Fund. Annual distributions from the fund will be used to maintain and update the chapel over time, the university said.

"Our chapel is the physical representation of our Christian foundation," Richard Dunsworth, president of the Presbyterian-founded university, said in a news release. "We are deeply touched that Mrs. Wilson would share of her resources to ensure that our chapel will always be a beautiful and appropriate representation of our commitment to education in the Presbyterian tradition."
