New Hires Saddle Up at Livestock Show Association (Movers & Shakers)

Agriculture

Sherman Lites has been hired as livestock administrator by the Arkansas Livestock Show Association of Little Rock, and Will Hornburg has been hired as director of sales and promotions. Lites, of Grapevine, was president of the Grant County Fair Association for the past seven years. Hornburg has a degree in speech communications from the University of Central Arkansas.

Steve Kueter of Paragould was named 2014 Arkansas Catfish Farmer of the Year by The Catfish Institute at the Seafood Expo North America held in Boston in March.

Architecture

Jonathan Nichols has become a principal at SCM Architects of Little Rock. The Warren native, who joined the firm as an associate in 2007, specializes in banking projects around the state.

Timothy W. Maddox of Fayetteville is one of 18 members nationally to receive the 2014 Young Architects Award from the American Institute of Architects. Maddox, a 2002 graduate of the University of Arkansas’ Fay Jones School of Architecture, is a principal of deMx Architecture in Fayetteville.

John Frank, previously a senior associate in BRR Architecture Inc.’s regional office in Bentonville, has been made a principal of the firm. Frank joined BRR in 2002.

Financial Services

Michelle Warren, Lori Beck, Pat Zimmerman and Gwen Massingill have been promoted to senior vice presidents at Petit Jean State Bank in Morrilton.

Gaylon Rogers, David Wooldridge and Paul McAnally have been promoted to market president positions by Southern Bancorp of Arkadelphia, and Kanecha Echols and Kortni Beene also have new jobs. Rogers, who has more than 30 years of experience in banking, was made president of the Blytheville market. Wooldridge, a 17-year veteran, is the new president of Southern’s Malvern and Hot Springs markets. McAnally, who was honored as one of Arkansas Business’ 40 Under 40 last year, was promoted to market president for Trumann. Echols has been promoted to consumer loan officer in Blytheville. Beene has joined Southern Bancorp in Arkadelphia as assistant vice president and secondary market lender.

Shawn Johnston has been named president of the Greenbrier market for First Security Bank of Searcy, and Margaret Smith, Lisa Wilcox and Michael Fowler have also received promotions. Johnston has more than 33 years of banking experience and serves as a loan officer. Smith and Wilcox have been promoted to senior vice presidents for First Security in Conway. Smith also has more than 33 years of banking experience and serves as the marketing officer for the Conway market, while Wilcox, with more than 24 years of banking experience, is retail/branch administrator, human resources officer and security officer for the Conway market. Fowler, most recently a credit analyst, has been promoted to credit analyst officer for First Security in Conway.
