P.A.M. Transportation Plans Expansion in North Little Rock

1 min read

Did you know P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc. of Tontitown is looking at an expansion of its North Little Rock facility?

Allen West, the company’s chief financial officer, said the property at 1401 McNeil Drive is basically a mechanics shop and a waiting room, but the company wants to add amenities to make it more driver-friendly.

West said the exact cost won’t be known until plans are finalized but he expected it would cost anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million.

West said the company recently renovated a facility in Laredo, Texas, and will have to return there to add amenities. P.A.M. officials have exchanged plans with an engineer for the North Little Rock site so they can have everything added at once.

In response to feedback from drivers, the company plans to build a shower facility, a laundry room, a recreational room and a computer room.

West said the company will hire additional staff for the facility but couldn’t predict how many. P.A.M. wants the improved facility operational by the summer.
