What was once a popular food truck in Benton will be a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the Little Rock Heights as of Thursday.

Baja Grill, owned by Craig and Melissa Roe, will bring its Mexi-Cali cuisine from Saline County to its new, 2,000-SF home at 5923 Kavanaugh Blvd.

To start off, customers can expect the core menu from the food truck, which includes starters like guacamole and salsa and wide-variety of tacos, burritos and quesadillas as main courses. In the future, Roe said customers can expect to see weekly specials, including steaks, salads and soups.

While the food truck days were a success, Roe said being outside and open to the elements was not always advantageous to business.

"At the same time, we were very successful and it was time to grow," she said.

The food truck operation closed in March, and the Roes have since sold the truck.

Baja Grill will have a full bar, but it will not be open until July 1. Roe said the restaurant would focus on signature margaritas, Sangria and and Mojito.

The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
