Crystal Washington to Talk Social Media for Pros at IABC Workshop

The Arkansas Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators is holding a workshop on social media for professional communicators.

The workshop, called "Harnessing the Power of Social Media," is set for 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, June 27 at the William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock.

The featured speaker is Crystal Washington, a nationally renowned social media strategist and lecturer. The event is presented by IABC/Arkansas as part of its annual Summer Camp professional development series. It is sponsored in part by Arkansas Business, Jive Software and Custom XM.

Topics for the workshop include: social media for reputation management, establishing relationships with your target audience, uncovering "spy tricks" for monitoring your competition and attracting new customers online.

"Crystal has worked with the top companies in the country and will help attendees take their social media product to the next level. Plus, this will be interactive workshop with attendees completing online projects."

Washington has been hired by companies including Google, Microsoft and GE. She is the owner of CWM Enterprises and cofounder of Socialtunities, a social media instructional brand aimed at training people to strategically use social media.
