Renovations at River Market Marriott Include Revamp of Restaurant

1 min read

The Courtyard by Marriott in Little Rock’s River Market District recently completed $2.4 million in renovations that include a new restaurant, The Bistro.

The Bistro, open for breakfast and dinner, cooks everything made to order and replaces the hotel’s previous $9.95 breakfast buffet. It also offers Starbucks, including that popular chain’s pastries, said Jeff McClure, market director of sales in Little Rock for McKibbon Hotel Management.

The Bistro is a new concept for the Courtyard by Marriott brand, McClure said, and the downtown location was the last of the three Courtyards in Little Rock and North Little Rock to implement the updated look.

The Courtyard by Marriott downtown will be marking its 10th anniversary in October, he said, and was due for a renovation.

In addition to the new restaurant, the hotel added 600 SF to the lobby, shifted its bar slightly and refurbished its 120 rooms. The bar is also offering beer from three microbreweries, including the locally owned Diamond Bear Brewing Co. The downtown Courtyard is unusual among other such hotels around the country in maintaining a bar separate from the restaurant, McClure said. “It makes sense for downtown Little Rock,” he said.

The hotel will mark the updates with a reception on Thursday.
