Krispy Kreme Across the State

Porter, who currently owns Sonic Drive-In restaurants in Vilonia, Greenbrier, Clinton and Greers Ferry, does not plan to stop with one Krispy Kreme location in Conway. Although he doesn't own the Krispy Kreme location in Little Rock, Porter has plans to develop further in Little Rock.

"We have the intention of expanding into any viable market that could handle a Krispy Kreme," he said.

Porter said he's currently looking for property in Searcy, and also mentioned Jonesboro, Rogers, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Benton and Bryant as possibilities in the future.

"We weren't doing this to put one in [the state]," he said

Currently, Arkansas has Krispy Kreme locations in Little Rock and Bentonville. The Little Rock location reported sales of $445,630 in the first quarter of 2014 and $1.7 million in 2013, according to the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau.

According to A&P tax collections in Bentonville, the Krispy Kreme location there has grossed $308,187 through the first quarter of 2014 and grossed $1.3 million in 2013.
