Baptist Health Names Little Rock Campus for Russ Harrington

1 min read

Baptist Health said Wednesday that it has named its Little Rock campus after Russ Harrington, its former president and CEO, who retired July 1.

The health system’s board named the Little Rock campus the Russell D. Harrington Jr. Campus. New signage with the name now greets visitors at the front entrance of the campus

The health system also said more than 325 employees, friends and family made a monetary donation to the Baptist Health Foundation and a keepsake book with their names was presented to Harrington on the same day as the sign’s unveiling.

“It has been an honor to be a part of this healing ministry and be able to serve the healthcare needs of our state for 40 years,” Harrington said. “I am proud of the success we were able to achieve as an organization and consider it a privilege to have had the opportunity to work with so many skilled physicians, dedicated caregivers, and committed staff.”

Harrington is now president emeritus and senior advisor for Baptist Health.

Troy Wells is the new president and CEO. The health system also named Doug Weeks executive vice-president and chief operating officer and Bob Roberts executive vice-president and chief financial officer.
