The former manor of Layton “Scooter” Stuart exited One Bank ownership.

The former home of Layton “Scooter” Stuart left the OREO portfolio of Little Rock’s One Bank & Trust.

Syed and Ayesha Samad acquired the 12,350-SF mansion in west Little Rock’s gated Hickory Creek neighborhood for $1.6 million.

As you may know, Stuart’s widow, Tommye, relinquished ownership of the residence to One Bank in January.

Meanwhile the legal tug-of-war continues over other assets in Scooter Stuart’s estate, primarily $14.7 million remaining from a life insurance payout after his death in March 2013.

Federal regulators ousted Stuart as chairman, president and CEO of One Bank in September 2012, a precursor to a federal investigation into his alleged self-dealing and mismanagement of the bank.
