Sound Off On Our 25th Anniversary Edition |

We're proud of our special 25th Anniversary Edition of Arkansas Business, which is out now. In it, Editor Gwen Moritz and her editorial staff attempt to distill 25 years of business in Arkansas, looking back on a quarter century's worth of big deals, turnarounds, living legends, mysteries and more. But try as we might, we realize the 132-page compilation is in no way exhaustive, and we no doubt missed lots of stuff. Now's your chance to talk back on the 25th Anniversary Edition. Give us your feedback, including what we missed and what we got wrong, in comments. We can't wait to hear from you! Update: Feedback's already rolling back in the Arkansas blogosphere. Emily Reeves at the Ms. Adverthinker blog notes the small number of women on our "25 for the Future" list: I don’t believe that finding future-thinking women with a “spark of potential” would have been difficult. Women make up 51% of the state’s population. The Women’s Foundation of Arkansas has an Emerging Leaders program. I work with many bright and talented women in business around the state everyday. Chamber leadership programs are conducted around the state and include both men and women.

KTHV Finds Us On Retreat at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute |

Our television partners, KTHV-TV, Channel 11, caught us on Petit Jean Mountain this week for our annual company retreat. KTHV aired another "Amazed By Arkansas" segment Wednesday. You can see the video here. The crux of the report was the opening of a new exhibit here on former Arkansas Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller and the institute's $20 million renovation. But THV's cameras also caught us during our retreat activities. Arkansas Business Publishing Group has held its annual retreat for 15 years. And we've spend three of the last four years here at the institute. It's a beautiful day here on the mountain, and the facilities are excellent. In our opinion, it's an ideal place for any company to take a few days, head the mountain and strategize. You can learn more about the institute here.

THV and Arkansas Business at Noon |
As you might have heard, Arkansas Business is now part of KTHV-TV, Channel 11's new noon newscast. Monday was the debut of "Today's THV at Noon," which features our live 90-second business news report near the end of the first segment. Jeff Hankins and I will take turns at bat, delivering the latest Arkansas business news headlines and Wall Street updates. We'll be appearing at KTHV's studios for the first week or so, until we get our own Arkansas Business studios up and running here at the headquarters at 2nd and Scott. When that happens, we'll simply walk down the hall, flip a switch and be live to central Arkansas. That's what the techies tell us, anyway. Of course you can watch the show on TV. But those at work in front of computer - you're in luck. THV is streaming the show live at noon here, so you won't miss a minute of news. Our new THV newscast, plus our Daily Report e-newsletter, and our regular segment on THV's 6 p.m. Monday news should keep you covered on business headlines during the day. And be sure to let us know how we're doing; send us your news tips and feedback here and here.
