The Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame will hold its annual fall salute on Thursday when the organization honors former University of Arkansas track and field coach John McDonnell.
Scheduled speakers include Frank O'Mara, who competed for Ireland in three Olympic trials, Arkansas businessman John Tyson, former University of Arkansas head basketball coach Nolan Richardson and long distance runner Alberto Salazar.
Mike Conley Sr., a former Olympic gold medalist who won 16 NCAA long jump and triple jump championships while competing for McDonnell at Arkansas, will serve as master of ceremonies.
