The Governor's Work-Life Balance Award is presented to companies exhibiting leadership in implementation of family friendly practices. Winners in three categories, based on number of employees, were selected in April of 2007.

This year Baptist Health was inducted as first Family Friendly Ambassador for continued work to provide employees with family-friendly benefits.

Also new to this year's ceremony was the Spotlight Award, which recognized companies implementing family-friendly policies in innovative ways. Three spotlight awards were awarded to Benchmark Group, Nucor Steel and the Heritage Company.
