Clinical Informatics Director

Description:

Master of Science in Computer Science, Information Management, or related Computer/Technology/Systems field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years experience in hospital information technology in which skills of leadership and project management have been demonstrated, to include implementation and support of EMR applications. Position requires a technical oriented individual with excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills. Clinical licensure and experience is desired to effectively implement information technology to facilitate clinical process redesign to improve clinical outcomes, quality, end-user satisfaction. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated ability to manage teams and multiple high priority project implementations requiring cross department resources. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex workflows and implement a successful solution using critical thinking skills required. The ability to interact with individuals at various levels in the organization and with Physicians, Nursing, and Clinical/Ancillary departments with a high degree of integrity is required. The ability to develop and re-engineer workflows and processes leveraging capabilities of the electronic systems to promote high utilization and increase efficiency of the medical staff is required. The high desire to excel and strive for excellence is required.
