Provides technical/business leadership and mentoring to the Product Implementation staff. Drives and manages the product implementation process on the administrative system. Subject-matter expert (SME) for actuaries, IT and business units regarding complex product and administrative system functionalities.
? Provides consultation as the subject-matter expert (SME) on specialized product features and functionality to system analysts, technical analysts, actuaries, developers, testers and other business units. (15%)
? Develops complex spreadsheets to help validate advanced actuarial and product related calculations.
? Compiles and categorizes data, documenting and verifying the factors used in computations. (25%)
? Acts as a liaison for actuarial and IT departments to interpret actuarial calculations and product system functionality and translate to Cyberlife by mapping data to rate files, tables and identifying Cyberlife modifications needed for product support. (25%)
? Analyzes and Resolves the complexity and quantity of system modifications. (15%)
? Performs testing activities including but not limited to, identifying precise test conditions and test scripts for automated testing; determination of pre-determined results and script outcomes; runs JCL to assist in file maintenance batch (FMB) mode; resolves problems with JCL if errors occur; data entry of complex test conditions; analyzing discrepancies discovered in test results and determining course of action. (10%)
? Works independently with minimal supervision. Communicates well on various technical levels to respond quickly and accurately to questions related to product functionality, administration system functionality or illustration system functionality. (100% - Always expected)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and/or Experience:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Finance, MIS or other relevant area; or equivalent education/experience required.
? Minimum 4 years relative experience in a Mainframe environment required.
? Normal work environment utilizing Microsoft Office required.
? Proficient in Excel and Database application required.
? 5+ years relative experience in a Mainframe environment preferred.
? Cyberlife experience preferred.
? Knowledge of at least one programming language preferred.
? Proficiency in TSO preferred.
? This position is located in an office clerical environment.
? Must be able to sit and work at computer for long periods of time.
