The successful candidate for this position must communicate well, both verbally and in writing, with coworkers, consumers and Department of Insurance personnel in compliance-related matters. .
?Review and analyze complaints received from consumers and state insurance departments.
?Coordinate and/or prepare the business unit?s responses by the appropriate administrative department and/or third party administrators (TPAs), providing guidance.
?Track complaint information for reporting purposes
?Train business departments and TPAs on proper complaint reporting and handling.
?Respond to state surveys and inquiries. Document and promptly report any trends to Compliance management.
?Assist in the preparation and delivery of compliance training programs for TEB employees and/or producers.
?Implement new training through software such as Brainshark.
?Conduct internal and/or TPA audits.
?Serve as Compliance liaison to assigned departments to promote and monitor compliance with AEGON?s Code of Professional Conduct for Producers and Employees.
?Notify assigned departments of any regulatory developments and provide guidance on implementing any necessary procedural changes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and/or Experience:
?Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
?Able to work independently, communicate clearly and interpret complex information required.
?Demonstrated writing proficiency required.
?Two plus years of insurance experience in life and health required.
?Completion or enrollment in industry courses such as LOMA or HIAA required.
?Working knowledge of Windows-based software such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required.
?Excellent organizational skills including the ability to meet strict deadlines required.
?Ability to work as a team player required.
?Ability to work in a demanding environment required.
?Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects required.
?Five or more years of relevant experience in group insurance field preferred.
?Experience developing and delivering compliance training programs preferred.
?Auditing experience preferred.
?This position is located in an office clerical environment.
?Some travel required (approximately 10%).
