Production Associate - Assembly

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVES (OBJECTIVES)

Production Associates are responsible for performing a variety of tasks and processes to complete assemblies and sub assemblies including but not limited to solder, cable assembly, mechanical assembly, machine operation, final assembly, PCB, product or sub-assembly testing, machine crimping, and ribbon cable assembly. Production Associates must be able to follow established assembly processes and work practice guidelines.
A Production Associate is a hands-on team member who works to ensure production goals are met.

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor or Line Lead, completes production activities as directed. Production Associates work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. May participate in making decisions affecting the work and or the team.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION (RESPONSIBILITIES)

Work with Line Lead or Production Supervisor in performing product assembly and test, quality control procedures, product testing and other related functions.

Production Associates are responsible for learning and following company safety, environmental procedures and instructions.

Production Associates are responsible for learning and following procedures and instructions pertaining to positions within the line.

Production Associates are responsible for monitoring the Kanban system and ensuring they follow the rules of parts usage and reject reporting to ensure inventory accuracy.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

No previous experience in production is required. Must have good math and communication skills.

Successful candidate will possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent training and experience. Knowledge of Mechanical and Electronic Components, and mechanical assembly is required. Knowledge of blueprints and engineering drawings is preferred.

ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop; squat; reach to or below shoulder level; lift; carry; push; pull; and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is required to reach above shoulder level. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull greater than 50 pounds. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception. The employee is required to use color discrimination.

Production Area environment with minimal noise level.

Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds.
