Donation Ambassador/Receiving Assistant

Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of donations including inspection of items, pricing, cleaning, stocking, and pickups using all safety precautions, proper procedures and common sense in a friendly and helpful manner. As the “Face of Habitat”, you must be polite and courteous at all times.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Inspect donations carefully and enforce requirements tactfully.
 Clean, sort, weigh, price and stock incoming inventory.
 Help load/unload donations and sold merchandise.
 Pick up donations as assigned.
 Distribute donation receipts to each donor.
 Load/unload vehicle.
 Assist ReStore Manager/Warehouse Supervisor with vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed.
 Other duties as assigned.
 Must be a positive role model for our volunteers.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

 Must be 18 years of age or older.
 Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
 Must submit to a background check.
 Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
 Friendly, courteous attitude.
 Must be familiar with navigating Washington County.
 Ability to drive large box truck.
