Position Summary
The Professional Education Project Analyst works to complement existing resources and programs of the Injury Prevention Center (IPC) by facilitating coordination and expansion of injury prevention professional education opportunities. The Professional Education Project Analyst will be a part of the Statewide Injury Prevention Program (SIPP) team housed in the Injury Prevention Center. The Professional Education Project Analyst will work with designated trauma centers, EMS providers, and Hometown Health Improvement Coalitions throughout Arkansas to facilitate the development and implementation of injury prevention professional education opportunities for a variety of health care professionals and other injury prevention advocates. This position will utilize various media services to communicate with injury prevention partners and will assist in the development and maintenance of required databases to document and evaluate training opportunities provided by SIPP. This position is grant funded and dependent on the availability of funds.

Position Duties
1. Conducts management support in the development and implementation of injury prevention professional education

Develops and conducts training opportunities on injury prevention for a broad range of health care professionals and other injury prevention advocates
2. Develops educational materials, conferences, and workshops tailored to various professional audiences
3. Applies for and maintains Continuing Education Units as appropriate for each educational opportunity
4. Coordinate with the UAMS Telehealth Network on educational programming
5. Develops and maintains various media services to communicate with injury prevention partners

2. Contributes to continuous data management and program quality improvement
Performs frequent literature search on professional education initiatives and professional education best practice recommendations to guide program planning
2. Attends conferences, workshops, webinars, lectures, and other educational opportunities to maintain a professional level of expertise in the development of professional education opportunities
3. Builds network of professional peers and associates through local, state, and national organizations
4. Participates as a team member injury prevention activities and initiatives
5. Develops and maintains program tracking systems

3. Special projects
Completes special projects as assigned by senior staff of the IPC


Position Qualifications
1. Education:
Bachelors Degree in Health Education, Public Health, Adult Education, or other education-related field

2. Experience:
Two years experience in public health field or instruction in an educational setting preferred. Professional training experience may be substituted.

3. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver's license

4. Skills/Ability:
Demonstrated competency in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access and Power Point)
Demonstrated public speaking, facilitation, training, or instruction
Ability to produce clear and precise written and verbal communications
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks
Ability to assess and correct materials for detail and accuracy

Position requires sitting for extended periods of time
Position requires lifting up to 20 pounds
Position requires ability mobility in and out of office setting
Position does require out of town travel with some overnight stays and occasional night and weekend work
