ArCom Systems, Inc., a leader in the Systems Integration, Life Safety, & Physical Security Industry in Arkansas, is seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Installation Technician Apprentice to join our rapidly growing team of professionals in our Springdale, AR office.
Installation Technician Apprentice Job Purpose: Reporting to the Installation Crew Leader, the Installation Technician Apprentice is a striving installation technician, who is employed to assist the crew leader in all activities. Such candidates are also referred to as trainees or interns. Apprentices work under the guidance of a crew leader and are required to complete all tasks assigned by their supervisor. Apprentice's also undergo on-the-job training and are acquainted with safety and other significant norms of the job.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Inspecting all systems and units, detecting defects and reporting the same to the crew leader.
-Assisting in the repair, replacement and refurbishing of all electrical units and damaged parts.
-Appropriately handling all testing and electrical repair tools and equipment.
-Effectively managing time and completing all tasks delegated by the supervising authority.
-Assisting the crew leader in all functions and following necessary safety norms and regulations.
-Installing basic electrical units and systems under the supervision of the crew leader.
-Appropriately reading electrical blue prints and schematics and planning all work processes accordingly.
-Attending job training and other related activities.
-The marginal functions of this position have not been included. This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed. An employee will be required to follow any other job-related duties required by the manager.
Skills / Qualifications:
-High School Diploma, GED.
-Clean criminal history and drug free.
-Candidates must be in good physical condition and able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
-Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
-Significant construction knowledge and design experience.
-Ability to demonstrate high ethical standards and set a positive example for crew members.
-Current first aid/CPR certification, or ability and willingness to obtain one.
-Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to identify technical malfunctions in electrical units.
-Sound understanding of handling and using electrical repair tools and equipment.
-Ability to effectively manage time and complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
