Managed Care Contracts Manager

Description:

Reports to the Vice President of Patient Financial Services. This position is responsible for identifying managed care contracting opportunities, managed care negotiation and contracting, database development and management, and contract management and monitoring for ACH. The Managed Care Contracts Manager serves as a liaison to managed care contractors and key ACH departments in communications regarding contracting and managed care operational issues. This position leads the development of strategic plans and goals for hospital managed care contracting in conjunction with the Finance leadership team. The Managed Care Contracts Manager is responsible for identifying key indicators for the managed care contracts and developing measurements, monitoring and reporting tools.

6) Contract/legal/regulatory/revenue cycle knowledge

Education requirements:
Bachelors degree in the area of Business, Accounting, Finance

Experience:
3 years total experience which includes 3 years of indepth experience in provider relations or contracting with a managed care plan or indepth experience in a hospital patient accounts department. 1 year managed care contracting experience.

Skill Requirements
Strong negotiation and language skills, computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, current knowledge of information technology and tools, analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, and self directed.
