We are conducting an exclusive recruiting search for a success-driven General Manager for a Central Arkansas manufacturing organization. This established company has been in business for over 50 years and as an industry leader is both profitable and thriving. The position is newly created due to growth and based on your contributions and success has excellent promotion potential in a relatively short period of time.
The General Manager will be an entrepreneurial performer with the ability to plan, grow and expand the organization. You will generate new business by building relationships with key accounts and prospective customers. Maximize company profitability through creative efforts and a vision for growth. Adept at working with a wide variety of product lines and markets.
The General Manager will lead and oversee a seasoned team of managers and provide strategic leadership with a focus on the corporation’s goals and objectives. You will provide direction and expertise and monitor and evaluate the performance of the team.
The General Manager will have an understanding of P&L and cost accounting (as it relates to pricing/sales) and actively work to drive results and improvements.
10+ years of manufacturing experience to include operations and management.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus both on customer development and company profitability.
Self-motivated and achievement oriented.
Effective sales and negotiation skills and the ability to work with a diverse customer base.
Ability to identify, prioritize and execute key strategic objectives of the organization.
Must possess very strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent presentation skills are desired.
Ability to lead teams and provide motivation and support.
Ability to perform short and long term planning.
An understanding of P&L and cost accounting (as it relates to pricing/sales).
A general knowledge of Human Resources as it relates to management of teams.
