Compliance Specialist (part-time)

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting on-site
Management and Occupancy Reviews of Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program to assure compliance with the ACC and housing authority plans, policy and procedures. The Compliance Specialist will update and monitor web-based HUD reports (i.e. PIC, MASS, etc.); track and monitor PHAS compliance, the flow of tenant files, the move-in and move-out process, and unit maintenance and turn-around status; s/he will also perform tenant recertifications and conduct internal administrative audits.

Minimum Qualifications: Two years related experience; demonstrated experience in public housing; demonstrated knowledge of related federal, state, and local housing laws and regulations; direct experience with HUD webbased
reporting, specifically PIC; demonstrated ability to develop and implement monitoring and tracking systems; above average computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: B.A. degree or a combination of related education and experience; demonstrated ability to troubleshoot; ability to prepare audit reports; ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; and, ability to analyze situations carefully and recommend a course of action.
