Assistant Professor of Finance


Arkansas State University (A-State) is recruiting applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Finance (9 month tenure track) in the Department of Economics and Finance. The position will begin on August 16, 2015, for the 2015-2016 Fall and Spring semesters. A Ph.D in Finance or closely related field or ABD (if Ph.D will be earned during the 2015-16 school year) from an AACSB International accredited institution will be considered. The candidate must demonstrate evidence of and a commitment to high quality teaching, research and service. Teaching responsibilities will involve undergraduate and graduate Finance courses in both the Fall and Spring semesters, and the faculty member will also engage in research and service. The A-State College of Business is accredited by AACSB International. Desired qualifications include: a record of effective college teaching and commitment to teaching excellence, evidence of development of a strong research program targeting leading journals in the field, and expertise in cash, treasury, and working capital management.
