Witt Stephens Jr.
Witt Stephens Jr. joined the bargain-hunting club created by the financial meltdown, helping recapitalize Harrison's First Federal Bancshares of Arkansas and Brand Banking Co. of Georgia. During the past two years, the Stephens Group also made investments in Goodman Networks Inc., Shale-Inland and Inform Technologies.
The private equity firm was launched in July 2006 after Witt Stephens Jr. and his sister, Elizabeth Campbell, sold their interests in Stephens Inc., the Little Rock investment banking firm founded in 1933 by their legendary father, Witt Stephens Sr., to their cousin, Warren Stephens.
