Steven M. Anthony
Steve Anthony lives in Fordyce, where he grew up. He prepared for the job of running his family's 104-year-old business by studying business at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va., and earning a law degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Anthony Timberlands Inc., which manages timberland in south-central Arkansas and operates three sawmills and various secondary processing facilities, was No. 57 on Arkansas Business' most recent list of the state's largest private companies. Anthony is a past chairman of the Arkansas Forestry Commission and past president of the Arkansas Forestry Association and the Southern Forest Products Association. He is a director of the Bank of Bearden.
