For over 110 years, Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP has built a reputation for excellence in ability, service and professionalism as one of the premier law firms in Arkansas and the region. WLJ’s clients benefit from the broad, deep expertise of the firm’s more than 60 attorneys.“Our team-focused work environment utilizes the collective knowledge of dozens of talented attorneys specializing in various areas of practice, which allows clients of our firm to tap into a depth and breadth of legal experience far beyond what any single attorney could provide,” Managing Partner Ed Lowther said. “This, among other things, has helped our firm earn a reputation for providing exceptional client service with the highest level of legal skill and professionalism.” Lowther points to the expertise, experience and attitude of the attorneys and staff at WLJ as keys to the firm’s century-plus track record of success. “We are fortunate to have employees who are committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and to the community,” Lowther said. “From our attorneys and paralegals to legal assistants and administrative staff, everyone strives to treat clients the way they would want to be treated. “We listen to the needs and desires of our clients, try to understand all aspects of their businesses or their personal situations, and provide practical legal advice with an eye not only to the legal issue at hand but also to those that may arise in the future. “Our attorneys also strive to be the kinds of people our clients are proud to work with, both personally and professionally. Over time, the firm has built a reputation as being ethical, reliable and knowledgeable. This benefits our clients both directly in their dealings with us and indirectly in our dealings with courts and other counsel.” WLJ has offices in Little Rock and Rogers but represents client interests across the state, throughout the United States and around the world. The firm has come a long way since its founding on July 1, 1900, when Thomas S. Buzbee entered the practice of law in Little Rock privately and as counsel for the Choctaw, Oklahoma & Gulf Railroad. The Choctaw, Oklahoma & Gulf Railroad became part of Rock Island Lines in 1903, and Rock Island Lines remained the firm’s primary client until about 1915, when Harvey Harrison joined the firm and developed the extensive insurance and litigation practice that has been one of the firm’s trademarks for more than 90 years. Through a series of partners and name changes, the firm became Wright, Lindsey & Jennings in 1965 and has retained the name since. The professionals at WLJ stand ready to help their clients in any way, preferably with a proactive approach. “Individuals and businesses generally know they need to seek the advice of an attorney when they run into legal troubles,” Lowther said. “What many of them don’t know is that many aspects of their lives and businesses involve issues of a legal nature, and consulting attorneys early and often regarding those issues can help to avoid trouble, and expense, down the line.” With over 110 years of tradition to guide them, the attorneys of WLJ continue to deliver outstanding results for their clients through a steadfast commitment to the same level of excellence in ability, service and professionalism that established WLJ as one of the leading law firms in Arkansas and the region.
