FLEX360 Creates Web sites That Truly Perform

Good help is hard to find. But you won’t have to look far to find a top web design team.
The best Web sites don’t just look good; they help businesses and organizations operate better. That is the approach FLEX360 Web Development brings to all of its projects.

“We’re not just creating online brochures,” FLEX360 Director Brent Birch said. “We help clients control all aspects of their business or organization online, whether it’s sales, marketing, information management, communications or anything else.”

Launched by Arkansas Business Publishing Group in 2003, FLEX360 offers Web development, e-marketing and strategic consulting. The company was born out of a need for business-minded marketers, developers and designers who would create Web services that truly performed for customers.

“For businesses, that usually means finding a way to improve their bottom line,” Birch said.

In late 2006, when Arkansas’ largest independently owned jeweler took its storefront on the Web, FLEX360 helped the company take its cash register with it. In developing an online home for Sissy’s Log Cabin, FLEX360 created a custom shopping cart application that interfaces with Sissy’s entire inventory. The result: 12,000 square feet of fine jewelry, gifts and antiques all on one Web site.

From making money to saving time, many businesses and nonprofits turn to FLEX360 to help them work more efficiently through online applications. Little Rock’s Junior Deputy baseball league did just that when it had FLEX360 design its site. Juniordeputy.com allows volunteers to keep in touch with players and parents about game schedules, scores, team assignments and practices. It also conducts online player registrations.
Juniordeputy.com and other FLEX360 sites are easily updated through FLEX360’s Web site management tool, SitePilot.

Birch said his clients appreciate being able to update content themselves.
“Many of our clients have had Web sites in the past that, for whatever reason, they were not able to make changes to,” Birch said. “We’ll certainly be around for our clients when they need us, but most of the content changes they’ll be able to make on their own.”

SitePilot lets clients manage information tied to their organization, including mailing lists, member information, e-newsletters, registrations and more.

For the Alliance of Area Business Publications Web site, FLEX360 included a host of applications that will allow members to better communicate among each other. The site, Bizpubs.org, lets Alliance members post job openings, list advertising info, access top stories from member news sites and more.

Another common theme among FLEX360 sites is their ability to compile and disseminate troves of data and information. The company has an extensive background developing news and information sites for business journals in California, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

But for all the clever functionality of FLEX360 Web sites, creative design still remains an integral part of the online equation.

“We don’t do cookie cutter Web sites,” FLEX360 Creative Director Mike Ortega said. “Every project is unique to the client and their individual needs.”

One constant, however, remains FLEX360’s pairing of form and function.
“There’s a fine balance in making a site robust, easy-to-use and eye-catching all at once,” Ortega said. “We consider all those aspects with our designs.”

It’s that attention to every angle that’s allowed FLEX360 to continue expanding its client base, all the while focusing on providing a consistent, high-quality level of service and attention to its clients.
