Sports Memorabilia Dealer John Rogers’ North Little Rock Home for Sale for $2.5M

2 min read

The mansion of North Little Rock sports memorabilia dealer John Rogers is for sale with an asking price of $2.5 million, according to a Facebook post by Rogers’ wife.

The extravagant four-story home features an “indoor basketball court & batting cage, custom pool w 2 waterfalls, sunbathing ledge,” Angelica Rogers wrote for a post published Wednesday night.

The post says the home is 15,000 SF and has a four-car garage, wine cellar, media room, gym and an elevator to each floor. It’s located on “Snake Hill” in North Little Rock — officially 3700 Avondale Road, just above Lakewood’s Lake No. 1.

News of the sale comes as Rogers and his company, Sports Card Plus Inc., face a lawsuit in Pulaski County Circuit Court for allegedly defaulting on a $1.35 million acquisition of historic Major League Baseball images.

The lawsuit alleges that Rogers missed an $85,000 payment on the collection due April 1, and says he still owes $765,000 on the purchase.

Rogers has also faced scrutiny by the FBI this year. In January, agents searched his business and his home in connection to the sports memorabilia fraud investigation of Mastro Auctions, based in suburban Chicago.

Officials haven’t commented on the investigation, and Rogers hasn’t been charged.

Rogers founded the Rogers Photo Archive. Based in North Little Rock, the archive purchases historic photo collections, including the archives of major newspapers, creates electronic copies for the sellers, and then sells prints and other products derived from the collection.

“Friends, if you or anyone you know is looking for a large, custom built home by Rick Ferguson, please let me know!” Angelica Rogers wrote on the Facebook post advertising their home. “… Any help is greatly appreciated! I also want to thank the multitudes of you that have sent your thoughts and prayers!”
