Pharmacy Firm RxResults Adding Jobs

1 min read

RxResults, a pharmacy risk management company that is partly owned by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, said it plans to add between 20 and 30 jobs in the next 21 months, according to a UAMS news release.

Founded in 2008, RxResults was created to help lower drug costs for employers and their workers while making sure they receive the best medicines available.

“We have been saving employers between 12 percent and 17 percent of their total pharmacy spending,” RxResults CEO and President Tery Baskin said in the news release. “As we look at all the changes that are being contemplated in health care, we decided we needed to have a wider range of products and take advantage of all these changes.”

RxResults was launched from the BioVentures incubator at UAMS and is an Innovate Arkansas client firm. It collaborates with the UAMS College of Pharmacy.

The Little Rock company announced in September that it had raised $4 million. Baskin said the company has created its own technology that includes databases.

“We need to continue developing this technology and want to expand our communication processes for patients, physicians and pharmacists,” Baskin said. “This will include our own app. This focus on communication helps patients become more engaged in their own health care choices.”
