1 min read

Throughout 2014, the Heartland Foundation of Little Rock, the charitable outlet of Heartland Bank, has donated nearly $100,000 to nine nonprofits.

The largest donation was $50,000 to Arkansas Children’s Hospital. The contribution is the second installment of a 10-year commitment to provide $500,000 to support the Arkansas Children’s House facility. In addition to the gift from Heartland, the bank’s majority shareholders — Terry and Walter Quinn of Little Rock — have pledged to match the yearly $50,000 donation for 10 years.

Other donations by the Heartland Foundation in 2014 are:

  • Children’s Protection Center: $20,000 for Forensic Interview program and equipment costs

  • Beyond Batten Disease Foundation: $5,000 to support partnership with New York Stem Cell Foundation to create iPS stem cells for Batten disease research.
