Wachter to Spend $20M, Add 20 Jobs to Expand Lowell Plant

Wachter Inc. of Lenexa, Kansas, said Tuesday that it is expanding its facility in Lowell, investing $2 million and adding 20 new jobs.

The move will bring total employment at the facility to 260. Wachter is an electrical, data, communications and automation building systems provider.

“Wachter’s decision to expand this facility is a testament to the quality of work produced by the company’s existing employees in Lowell,” Grant Tennille, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, said in a news release. “We appreciate Wachter’s continued commitment to growing and investing in Arkansas.”

Wachter holds electrical licenses in all 50 states. It was founded in 1930 by William Wachter as an electrical services company. The company has been in Lowell since 2003. 

Wachter’s services include on-site wired and wireless network infrastructure, telephony and structured cabling, design, installation and electrical services.
