Former President Bush Campaigning for Jeb in Arkansas

1 min read

LITTLE ROCK – Former President George W. Bush is campaigning in northwest Arkansas to help his brother Jeb’s White House bid.

The 43rd president is scheduled to headline a private fundraiser in Rogers on Friday for Jeb Bush’s campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.

The former president’s visit is the latest in a string of campaign appearances for 2016 hopefuls in Arkansas since the state moved up its primary from May to March 1, part of an effort to create a regional nominating contest among southern states.

GOP hopefuls who have stumped in the state include former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, billionaire Donald Trump and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.
