Video: Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Jobs at Sun Paper, Mercy Northwest, GW Communication & Sprint

1 min read

Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Friday spoke to reporters at the Little Rock Regional Chamber about this week’s array of job announcements, the legislative session and new leadership at the Little Rock School District.

The governor’s remarks came immediately after a news conference about Sprint putting a new South Central Region headquarters in Little Rock, aiming to hire 100 people by the end of the year.

Arkansas Business reported earlier this week about some of Sprint’s plans, including that it hired a new regional president, Jonathan Blitz, and wants to double the its market share in Arkansas.

Hutchinson’s remarks capped a busy week of job announcements in Arkansas, including the $1 billion Sun Paper plant set for Clark County, a $247 million expansion at Mercy Northwest Arkansas and 28 new jobs at a new GW Communications office in Paragould.
